Is sourcing corrugated from Vietnam worth it?
Honest answer: it depends on what you ship. Plain brown cartons are bulky and cheap, so ocean freight can eat the savings. It works best for printed retail boxes, for cartons shipped together with your other packaging in the same container, and for brands that need a second source outside their current country. We tell you which case you are in when we quote.
Duties on corrugated boxes
Paper corrugated cartons usually import under HTS 4819 and carry no China Section 301 tariffs when made in Vietnam. A 2026 U.S. antidumping case covers polypropylene (plastic) corrugated boxes from Vietnam (HTS 3923.10.90), not paper cartons. We confirm the codes and rates for your exact boxes with a customs broker before we quote.

The number of paper layers. 3-ply (single wall) suits retail and light shipping, 5-ply (double wall) heavier and export loads, 7-ply (triple wall) heavy industrial use.

Can you print full-color retail boxes?
Yes. Full CMYK offset or flexo printing with UV coating and gloss or matte finish.
How much does it cost to make a corrugated box?
